We are currently working with a nationally recognised organisation for the recruitment of an interim Senior HR Advisor for a period of 12 months maternity cover.
The role itself is generalist with a strong emphasis on employee relations. Working within a busy contact centre, you will provide advice to line management on a wide range of issues including absence and also disciplinary procedures. It is important that you will have had a wide range of exposure to ER issues in a fast paced environment and that you will be fully up to date and conversant with employment law.
Performance management will also form a key part of the role and you will work closely with line managers to implement performance plans and monitor them across the organisation. You will also take responsibility for recruitment assignments and prior experience of volume recruitment would be a bonus.
Most importantly of all, you will be a tenacious, resilient and personable individual used to dealing with employees at all levels of an organisation. You will carry both the credibilty and confidence to deal with senior management and you must also have strong persuasion skills to embed HR best practice across the organisation.
A CIPD qualification would be a distinct advantage and although there is no specific sector requirement in terms of past experience, it is assumed that you will have worked in a fast paced environment previously.
The role will be North East based with some UK travel, although this will not form a major part of the position.
