Description

We are working with a major international manufacturing business to source an experienced HR professional with a strong background in HR and Training to work on a permanent basis for two and a half days a week.

Reporting directly in to the HR Manager, you will provide overall HR support but the role itself will be heavily weighted towards Training within the organisation.  You will be fully responsible for the planning and implementation of the training plan for the year ahead and will be involved in delivering HR workshops as well as maintaining training records.

In addition, you will be required to work across the business to formulate succession plans.  The role will also require close liaison with managers and you will advise on matters including employee relations, disciplinaries and grievances and recruitment.

In terms of experience, it is likely that you will have had a minimum of three years HR experience, ideally within manufacturing and you will also have worked extensively in developing and delivering training interventions.  Ideally CIPD qualified, you will also have an excellent understanding of employment and have the confidence to advise and influence senior members of the organisation.

The role is a job share and you would be required to work for 2 and a half days, Wednesday through to Friday lunchtime.  The organisation itself is highly successful and has continued to grow throughout the past year, bucking the overall economic trend in manufacturing.  The HR team itself is very supportive and it is expected that you will form a close working relationship with the other job share HR Officer currently in role.
