As a first tier supplier we are delighted to be working with this prestigious blue chip client who is based in Darlington.

This role sits within the People Support Services department which provides professional ER advice and support, clear policy guidance, system and data support and effective administration processes to functions within the UK.

The Employee Relations Partner is accountable for delivering a professional ER support service to the People Director for their client cluster. Working with the People Director they will ensure they give excellent quality support and advice, whilst maintaining a clear accountability for maintaining the integrity of policy and precedent.

The role holder will also work collectively with their peers within the People Support Centre, using learning from their clusters to shape and influence the wider function’s view of policy and wider best practice. They will work with the other Employee Relations Partners to effectively manage the central pool of case and advisor resources across multiple locations and functions, ensuring good opportunities for development and effective work balancing, whilst maintaining excellence in service levels and the appropriate level of commercial advice.

To apply for this position you will have a proven track record of delivering commercial employee relations solutions and have the ability to develop effective relationships across multiple complex, business units.

CIPD qualified is desirable as is project management experience and change management experience.

An in depth and current knowledge of employment law, ER best practice and current issues including knowledge of employment tribunals, restructuring and consultation process is required. You must also have knowledge of leading and managing a team and experience of TUPE.
