We are working with a major, North East based manufacturing organisation to recruit an experienced Occupational Health Consultant, initially for an interim period of around 6 months.
The role itself is likely to take up between 1-2 days a week so will suit either a day rate consultant or someone looking to work part-time.
In terms of specific areas to be covered, the client is looking at per-employment screening, effects of noise, sickness absence and fork lift truck medicals. There is also going to be a roll out of an audiometric testing programme. This will involve testing both existing and all new employees and will involve a base line audiogram where noise is a significant factor.
There is the potential for the role to become longer term and due to the size of the organisation, there is significant work to be done.
