Gareth Harrison

Gareth's recruitment career started with a major City agency, specialising in legal appointments. He spent two successful years gaining invaluable experience in the field, handling assignments up to partner level for major law firms, including those in the Magic Circle. This certainly gave Gareth an introduction at the deep end, but it was a challenge that has paid huge dividends in his career, delivering proven abilities as a professional recruiter.
He returned to the North East to work for a niche legal recruitment company and progressed to the position of Recruitment Manager within the business, managing a small team of specialists. While he continued to recruit successfully, the responsibility of management, combined with the exposure to HR duties that one would expect in a small business encouraged his long held desire to build on a BA in Business Studies and Economics with a specialist qualification in HR.
Gareth returned to university part-time to study for his Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resource Management, which he passed with commendation to give him CIPD qualified status. Once he achieved this, he was able to move into a recruitment focused HR position with a public sector training provider. Here, he was responsible for the recruitment and all subsequent HR advice for upwards of 120 apprentices aged between 16 and 21.
Gareth joined Exclusive Human Resources as Senior Consultant in early 2008 and has added considerably to the expertise and knowledge within the business, successfully handling recruitment assignments for a wide range of clients. Away from work, Gareth is a big sports fan and when he isn't travelling (and working of course!), he is involved in local voluntary work.
