We are delighted to be working exclusively with a prestigious retail organisation for the recruitment of an experienced HR Consultant/Advisor for a fixed term period of 12 months.
Working to a broadly generalist remit, you will be required to provide HR support to general managers across a number of retail sites based in the North of England.
The environment is both fast paced and highly commercial and duties will include advising on employment law, disciplinaries and grievances, redundancy, TUPE, recruitment and policies and procedures. You will also train general managers and attend monthly HR meetings on site which will identify and resolve issues within the business.
You will ideally be CIPD qualified although this is not a necessity but you should have at least 12 months of experience working at an advisory level. Due to the nature of the role, it is crucial that you have a confident and resolute manner and are able to impress the need for robust HR procedures on management. Due to the commercial nature of the role, candidates with experience in the private sector are likely to be preferred.
The role will be head office based but will also involve extensive travel across the region. It is therefore essential that you will have a full driving licence and ideally your own transportation.
The role itself will be both challenging and highly rewarding and you will have the support of a small but friendly HR team. You will report directly into the HR Manager and the role itself is maternity cover for the existing HR Consultant.
